Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Coordinator will support the implementation of Project ARK/WashU School of Medicine Infectious Diseases (WUID) Behavioral Health programming and duties. The Behavioral Health Coordinator will be involved in both direct service delivery and administrative activities with the Behavioral Health Program at WUID. The Behavioral Health Coordinator will assist clients with scheduling and follow-up care for psychiatric services in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, and provide supportive services and referrals to community resources. The Behavioral Health Coordinator will work closely with the Project ARK/WUID Behavioral Health team to ensure delivery of Behavioral Health services.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support patient access to behavioral health services through coordination with the Department of Psychiatry, WUID Pharmacy, and WUID care team.
- Improve program efficiency by collaborating with the WUID care team to ensure patient engagement and retention.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of behavioral health referral services and develop quarterly reports detailing behavioral health referrals and engagement.
- Assist with evaluation of program outcomes in partnership with the Behavioral Health Manager and Quality Improvement team.
- Identify trends related to utilization of behavioral health services and propose solutions to improve patient outcomes.
- Support patient retention in clinic services through collaboration with WUID retention team and partner agencies.
- Work closely with Behavioral Health Program Manager to develop a referral network with substance use treatment providers throughout the service area.
- Support patient access into outside substance use treatment services, as needed, through collaborative partnership with treatment agency contacts.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and collaboration and excellent customer service.
- Maintain required HIPAA compliance, skills/competencies and participate in staff trainings and meetings, continuing education, and cross-training programs according to established standards and WashU policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the WUID Behavioral Health Program.

Salary Range
$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
