Reporting to Head of Design & Project Management we are looking for a highly capable and strategic Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex projects from concept through design and construction in Brisbane. This role is responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability standards, driving stakeholder engagement, and delivering high-quality outcomes aligned with client expectations and business goals.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead project delivery across all phases: design, construction, and finalisation.
  • Develop and manage the Design Management Plan and design objectives.
  • Coordinate consultant engagement, scope definition, and fee administration.
  • Oversee design programs, production schedules, and ensure alignment with construction timelines.
  • Drive EHS compliance, Safety in Design, and sustainability targets (e.g., Green Star/NABERS).
  • Manage risk assessments, technical reviews, and quality assurance processes.
  • Lead procurement strategy and support bid conversion and contract finalisation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Oversee financial planning including budgets, cost forecasting, and variation approvals.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, establish project vision, and promote collaboration.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement strategies and communication protocols.
  • Liaise with authorities for approvals and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Conduct site visits, monitor subcontractor performance, and address non-conformances.
  • Promote innovation, buildability, and value optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure performance feedback, team development, and governance standards are upheld.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in project management within construction, design, or property development.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage complex design and construction programs.
  • Deep understanding of EHS, sustainability, and quality standards.
  • Skilled in budget management, cost planning, and financial forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in managing consultant teams, client relationships, and project governance.
  • Ability to navigate digital platforms and manage design in a digital environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
