Job Description:
Plan, manage and deliver distinct projects through all specific phases, in alignment with business and/or enterprise strategies. Provide leadership, direction and coaching to teams(s) while partnering with business and executive stakeholders within a single or across multiple Lines of Business (LoB).
Responsible for project financial management for the assigned groups. As a Platform Control Officer, this role will be accountable to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure they understand the approved financial plan, track monthly expenses, forecast future expenses on monthly basis. Support monthly and quarterly business reporting requirements
There are 2 aspects to project financial management – People and non-people expenses.
On a monthly basis leverage the Clarity reports to validate that the Clarity resource allocation and costs reporting.
On monthly basis, work closely with teams to validate forecasts, actuals and EAC; track Clarity financial data, explain trends and forward looking (monthly)
Align vendor spend items in Actuals to previously approved Purchase Tracker line items (monthly)
Track Invoice processing and approval monitoring to support reconciliation
Deep dive into data to answer specific questions related to financials
Skill sets:
Good understanding of delivering projects using agile methodology
Experience in project Management, communication and presentation skills, comfortable working with multiple teams across the bank, detail oriented and able to analyze data and tell the story to stakeholders and leaders
Good understanding of project financial management – how to manage budget, forecast, supporting creating business cases, highlighting risks and issues related to financials in a timely manner
Experience related tools – Clarity, Ariba, ServiceNow, PowerBI, MS suite and advanced excel skills
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
Graduate degree, preferred
7+ years relevant experience
BREADTH & DEPTH
Manages projects with moderate regulatory oversight
Project risk profile is low to medium
Management direction or executive oversight is provided as necessary
Typically leads the delivery of Tier3 and/or Tier 4 projects with up to medium complexity profiles
May indirectly manage a cross-LoB Project team consisting of Business Analysts, Business SMEs and Technology Resources where applicable to the project
May manage a number of small projects at any given time, and time horizon of projects generally range from short to medium term
Generally reports to a higher level Project Manager or Program Manager
