At Northern Trust our Client Onboarding team is responsible for managing large and complex new business implementations for our clients.

As a Project Manager in Client Implementation/Onboarding the selected candidate will be responsible for

  • Leading large and/or complex client events.
  • Educating and training clients on operational services procedures and product capabilities.
  • Serving as the main interface between client and internal parties in preparation for new business being brought live and placed into production.
  • Serving as subject area expert, providing comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
  • Operating independently with in-depth knowledge of business unit, specific area of expertise and strong knowledge in other areas.
  • Providing comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
  • Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.

The ideal candidate should have a fair amount of the following skills and experience:

  • Prior experience in a role that required strategic oversight in developing, implementing and administering programs within a functional areas.
  • Prior experience working in a global, matrixed organisation is a plus.
  • Related Industry qualification is a plus.
  • Good communication skills; verbal, non-verbal and written.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable with strong organizational skills required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of subordinate staff.
  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
