Position Summary

Join the Aetna Utilization Management team in a key role managing high priority/high profile clinical projects and implementations. The role will lead key projects within the UM organization ensuring all timelines are successfully met, is responsible for the preparation of presentation materials for executive stakeholders, serves as a key driver within the team of continuous quality improvement activities and collaborates cross-functionally within UM, ACS and with key stakeholders for success.

  • Acts as a specialist in project management, providing experience-based principals to lead and support successful project execution. .
  • Adapts project management methodologies and best practices to meet the unique needs of each project and ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Advises project teams and stakeholders on project management principles, practices, and approaches to enhance project outcomes and mitigate risks.
  • Applies highly-developed project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Benchmarks project performance against industry standards, best practices, and key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving excellence.
  • Checks project deliverables, milestones, and timelines to ensure timely and accurate project completion, providing guidance and support to project teams as needed.
  • Consults on project management practices, processes, and tools, collaborating with stakeholders to establish effective project management frameworks and ensure successful project outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-7 years work experience
  • Adept at problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering and supporting) skills
  • Adept at business intelligence
  • Excellent Microsoft skills including power point, excel.


Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of project management experience in healthcare, with a focus on complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects/programs in a matrixed environment.
  • Utilization Management experience preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience preparing executive documents and presenting to executive leaders.
  • Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proven ability to adapt to change and align with evolving priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Nursing or related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
