Role Summary:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in developing new products, technologies, and customer-specific solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will manage the daily order fulfillment activities for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with customer requirements. This role also involves providing quotation support, conducting engineering analysis, performing detailed layout and mechanical design, and offering operational support across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
Manage and execute multiple projects across various customers from inception to completion.
Coordinate with the Engineering team to obtain drawing approvals from customers.
Lead production planning meetings to communicate product requirements, specifications, and timelines to relevant departments, including Engineering, Product Management, Production, Quality, and Procurement.
Support production by providing technical guidance on specification deviations, waivers, and other related matters.
Review complete technical documentation to ensure product performance meets customer requirements and recommend modifications when necessary.
Prepare test plans, evaluate results, and implement design improvements based on findings.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
Contribute to optimizing and standardizing new and existing product lines.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project and business objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Relevant experience in product design, development, or project engineering.
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, drafting standards, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and global teams.
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Experience with ANSYS (CFD, FEA) for engineering simulations.
Background in industrial product development and design.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
Customer-focused mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
