The Role
• Support and contribute to customer project meetings to determine project requirements, then join in the design, planning, integration, testing and commissioning of hardware and software on customer systems as required.
• Support or lead the networking and system/application design and implementation. Customize system, hardware and network configuration based on customer requirements. Perform hardware, software and system installation, integration, and testing for projects, under the coordination of senior/ lead engineer.
• Provide technical sales support of state-of-the-art power systems applications for real-time control systems, including sales presentations and product demonstrations. Provide technical customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty. Participate to the creation of training materials and project documentation.
Your Impact
- Participate in customer project meetings to gather and clarify technical requirements. Support the design, planning, integration, testing, and commissioning of hardware and software components within customer systems. Contribute to networking and system/application design activities.
- Configure and adapt system, hardware, and network setups according to project specifications. Execute hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing tasks in line with project timelines and quality standards.
- Provide technical support during sales and project execution phases, including assisting with product presentations, demonstrations, and customer technical inquiries. Prepare technical documentation and contribute to the development of training materials.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and team leads throughout the project delivery process to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by proposing enhancements to engineering tools, templates, and procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex system or integration issues in coordination with cross-functional technical experts.
- Contribute to solution development for new system or data integration requirements.
- Travel to customer sites to support project delivery, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Support the project engineering team in maintaining high execution standards, documentation accuracy, and compliance with company procedures.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
- Relevant experience and knowledge in project engineering/ SCADA/ systems engineering: telecommunication networks, operating systems, control systems, configuration of networks and systems, basic troubleshooting.
- Experience in computer programming; C, C#, and Python preferred.
- Familiarity with flat file formats such as CSV, XML, JSON.
- Familiarity using Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong work ethic including willingness to learn and investigate new technologies and problems.
- Technical understanding of networking and security, operating systems, virtual environments, and systems integration.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable with a customer facing role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
