Job Title: Project Delivery Professional

Working Pattern: 37 hours days

Working location: Derby Raynesway

We are seeking to recruit a Project Delivery Professional for a Control Account Team in the New Build & Components Business Unit.

The role will be to manage key projects within the Large Vessels Control Account Team reporting into the Control Account Manager.

Your needs are as unique as you are. What you will be doing:

  • The successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work and organise and chair schedule review meetings and report arrears where executive decisions need to be made
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of project / critical component delivery schedules in P6 Primavera planning software
  • Manage risk and identify treatment options and provide information necessary to make management decisions to the key stakeholders
  • Key contributor to the various performance reviews with an understanding of key performance metrics and a proactive approach to recovery planning
  • Ensure the ERP system is maintained working alongside MRP’s to accurately forecast the programs.

  • Team player with excellent people skills
  • Experience of working in an Integrated Project Team environment ideally gained within the engineering/manufacturing sector
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude to deliver on promises and commitments and be able to adapt to changes in the working environment, managing competing demands to make the best use of time and resources and managing a number of tasks simultaneously, prioritising activities to meet deadlines.
  • Attained APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent; or can demonstrate equivalent PM knowledge.
  • Working towards or willingness to undertake membership of Association of Project Management (AMAPM or MAPM).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience of SAP and P6 preferable.

For more than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed, supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant, providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines.
