Key Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Urban Development Project in Cordova, a non-sponsorship project funded by World Vision Singapore. The role will lead and support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of child protection-related projects in Cordova Cebu to ensure that interventions are child-centered, rights-based, and aligned with national and organizational standards for child protection. 

Program Implementation

  • Coordinate child protection activities including awareness campaigns, training, and community-based interventions.
  • Ensure child protection components are integrated into broader development programs.
  • Support case management and referral systems in collaboration with local authorities and service providers.
  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the project in partnership with local government units, community, inter-agency network, and other stakeholders.

Capacity Building

  • Organize and facilitate training for staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders on child protection policies and practices.

Reporting and Coordination

  • Ensures timely and quality technical report writing and documentation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the executive and legislative branches of government, relevant agencies and stakeholders.

Administrative Support

  • Manage logistics for field activities, including transportation, supplies, and documentation.
  • Support budget tracking and procurement related to child protection initiatives.
  • Performs other tasks as may be relevant to the implementation of programs in her/his assigned areas including NRD or Grants acquisition related.

Qualifications

  • A graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Environment, Social Sciences, or any related courses and/or equivalent experience in project management.
  • At least six-month experience in report writing and monitoring of projects.
  • Experienced in coordination with local agencies and in working with local government units, civil society organizations, churches, faith-based organizations, etc.
  • Community organizing and training facilitation.
  • Competence in the use of MS Office and excellence in both oral and written English communication, especially in technical report writing and analysis.
  • A working knowledge on the operations of Materials Recovery Facility, Solid Waste Management Planning, and local laws on Solid Waste Management.
  • Can use technology in project designing, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Can work with minimal supervision.
