A. Team Leadership
Model a high standard of personal Christian leadership, maturity and integrity as an example to staff and others, nurturing staff spirituality.
Facilitate a working environment of mutual trust, respect, and care among all staff.
Be responsible for building the capacity of his/her staff, enhancing their commitment, character, competence, and critical thinking. Work with them to develop and implement personal capacity building plans.

Ensure good individual and team performance in support of quality ministry and good stewardship, through coaching, mentoring and regular meetings.

B. Building Relationships
Be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with key partners, especially relevant government institutions (DHS, PARTISIPA, BTL etc.) especially at Municipal level
Ensure that partnerships with other development partners are focused on promoting the well-being of children, especially the most vulnerable.

C. Project Management and Technical Quality Assurance
Facilitate effective teamwork, coordination and work planning among Community Development Officer, Project Manager, Area Manager and the technical team
Ensure and support the integration of DRR and WASH programming (e.g., climate-resilient infrastructure, hygiene promotion)
Coordinate and network within and outside of WV to secure necessary technical resources to support program implementation
Develop TOR, ensure the delivery of technical training and manage the logistics and finance administration of activities in the sector
Monitor project spending against budget on a regular basis and provide explanation of variance. Ensure projects responsibly spend up to the level of funding commitment and provide explanation of variance.
Manage and report on the budget according to accountability standards of the national office and donor guidelines, while ensuring the highest levels of financial stewardship and integrity.
Work as primary link to ensure the community Development Officer (CDO) and the community are informed with the recent approach/technologies in the sector.
Identify training needs, prepare materials and conduct training for staff and volunteers.
Support Project Manager and Area Manager to prepare and submit quality and timely Monthly Management Report by supplying technical activity implementation progress
Provide ongoing training and coaching on TD Principle to all the CDOs
D. Program Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME)
Support the process of DME (Assessment, Design, Evaluation) in the respective sector in alignment with WVTL DME standards and associated guidelines and share lessons learned with communities, development partners and other WV Partnership stakeholders
Ensure the monitoring system and tools are developed and used to track the progress of project implementation and to capture learning. Train the Project Facilitators on using the tools.
Coordinate revision of plans and budgets in response to monitoring, reflection and learning with the community and the program Team.
Be in charge of the writing and submission of the first draft of Project Semi Annual Report and Annual Report or similar types of report according to Donor Guidelines.
Provide strategic leadership to the annual Programmed Quality Self-Review process and the PQ Matrix review to ensure that there are national level action plans to promote progress towards TD Competencies
Evidence based intervention (project model standard) for scaling up
Engage with government, churches for sustainability and scaling up
E. General Responsibilities
Attend and participate in weekly chapel services and regular devotional meetings.
Support in hosting the visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff from other.

Required Professional Experience
A minimum of two years of appropriate professional experience (DRR and Climate Change Adaptation)W
Demonstrated experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
Proven leadership ability and experience as a team.
Required Education, training, license, registration and certification
University degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. Development Studies, Philosophy & Social Science and Humanity)
Preferably experience on Climate Smart Agriculture
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Competence in spoken and written English communication
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to supervise staff.
Literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of the Humanitarian industry
The ability to think strategically and solve problems
Good presentation and communication skills for a number of different audiences.
Proven time management and organizational skills.
Ability to ride a motorbike and have the license or willingness to learn this
