JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning and overseeing specific components of larger projects or programs to ensure smooth execution, timely delivery, and adherence to budget. This role involves managing implementation plans, tracking progress, maintaining detailed documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The Project Coordinator monitors risks, schedules, and project milestones, proactively addressing issues to keep initiatives on track through structured oversight, clear communication, and collaborative engagement.
 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with members of the project/program teams and stakeholders to help plan activities, develop schedules and oversee (track) progress to make sure goals are met on time

  • Supports project execution which may include identifying tasks, and identify/manage risks and issues, and independently executing assigned tasks.

  • Works with multiple concurrent Program / Project Managers to run project reports and implement updates through appropriate change control, including assessments of scope, cost, and schedule.

  • Capable of working independently or as a member of a team.

  • Independently manages own workload by balancing multiple tasks/projects, prioritizing work based on criticality and urgency, and completing tasks on time.

  • Must be able to adapt to changing requirements and meet project commitments without sacrificing quality.

  • Compliance with Quality, EHS regulations, and Abbott Standards by adhering to the policies, systems, programs, and procedures.  

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.


 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and a relevant experience in project coordination that includes budget analysis, scheduling, and stakeholder and team management skills.

  • Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow and project management tools is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to maintain good working relationships.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to manage tasks effectively and deliver results within established timelines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of MS365 tools.

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation capabilities, ensuring clear communication and productive collaboration.

  • Familiarity with scheduling tools and processes for managing complex calendars and coordinating meetings.

  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, including building dashboards and generating actionable insights.

  • Displays good judgement, self-motivation, and works well independently or with a team.

  • Demonstrates good interpersonal and presentation skills in order to update line management and team members.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones and cultures.

The following qualifications are not mandatory but will be considered a significant advantage

  • PMP certification or training

  • SAP experience

  • Experience with pharmaceutical industry processes
