The Programs & Training Coordinator supports the facilitation of all attorney integration and retention initiatives including retreats, academies, new associate orientation, mentoring, and other Firm culture and morale programs. Reporting to the Senior Program & Training Manager, the Programs & Training Coordinator will work closely with the Programs & Training Manger to coordinate innovative programs and initiatives to help increase attorney engagement, foster community, and drive the Firm’s development and retention strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Training & Programs Manager to implement academy curriculums for legal, professional, and business skills training and enrichment programming to support attorney development.
Work collaboratively with the Training & Programs Manager to develop and improve Troutman Pepper Locke’s YOUniversity, the Firm’s training, and development ecosystem.
Seek and compile feedback on all programs through electronic surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one settings to evaluate regularly revise, amend, and improve program content.
Support the Professional Development and Practice Management teams with maintaining up to date attorney benchmarking initiatives.
Monitor external trends and best practices in connection with attorney career paths, staffing, mentoring, feedback, training, and compensation.
Assist the Legal Talent Department in identifying and implementing additional processes and process improvements to meet business goals.
Work with Recruiting and other internal administrative departments to facilitate successful attorney onboarding and integration, including conducting department orientation and training for new hires and building robust onboarding schedules.
Serve as a resource to attorneys throughout their onboarding and integration period, liaising with various departments and individuals throughout the firm to answer questions and provide support.
Collaborate with finance and HR teams to manage reporting needs, attorney status changes, and related compliance matters.
Assist with other Professional Development initiatives as needed.
Maintain key department documents, including policies, rosters, intranet pages, presentations, and reports.
Engage in research on market data and other various subjects and routinely prepare reports in various formats (Word, PPT, Excel) to document results.
Collaborate with Recruiting, Inclusion, and HR on initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive culture and promote overall engagement.

Strong working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent grammar, punctuation and proofreading skills and the ability to prepare clear, accurate reports and correspondence.
Positive team player, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple assignments, and work responsibly under pressure.
Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic.
Willingness to learn and become familiar with new tools and technologies.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree: or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Minimum of three (3) years of professional development or related experience in a law firm or other professional services setting.
Previous experience in a law firm or professional environment preferred.
