Program Manager

Amentum is seeking a Program Manager in Oahu, Hawaii to oversee an upcoming contract opportunity. The Program Manager is responsible for accomplishment of all tasks required by the Contract and is authorized to represent Amentum.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will organize, plan, schedule, implement, control, analyze, and report on all elements of the Contract.
  • Has the authority to ensure efficient and timely program execution and will be Amentum's focal point for the customer on all required program tasks.
  • Should be prepared at all times to present and discuss the status of Contract activities, requirements, and issues.  
  • Will work with the Senior Program Manager to ensure availability of sufficient resources to accomplish all requirements of the contract.
  • Will manage the on-site seafaring vessel personnel and all other key and non-key personnel, and report to the Government on the status of the vessel and associated tasks. 

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Active SECRET Security Clearance required. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Science, or other relevant management and leadership degrees, training, or certifications.
  • 15 years of experience in engineering and managing engineering programs for the US Navy supporting ocean-faring vessels.
  • Experience in hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) systems maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, operational and testing support to include  towed systems, structural analysis, and vessel mooring. 
  • Experience managing projects and programs including the planning, design, study, test, analysis, and evaluation associated with the research and development of such systems. 
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and directing complex, multifaceted programs through subordinate project managers. 
  • Experience in providing oversight in order to execute programs and complete fabrications within cost and budget constraints.
  • Completion of US Coast Guard (USCG) Approved Basic Fire Fighting Course or Refresher within the past five (5) years (preferred) or complete within 30 days of employment. 
  • Completion of USCG Approved Able Bodied Seaman Course (preferred) or completion within 30 days of employment
  • Completion a USCG Approved Advance Fire Fighting Course or Refresher within the last five (5) years (preferred) or completion within 30 days of employment.

Compensation: 
The annual starting salary/ hourly rate for this position is between $140,000-$190,000 annually.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
