Job Profile Summary
The Program Manager, Information Technology (IT) is responsible for overseeing the achievement of organizational goals. The incumbent in this role coordinates efforts between multiple projects associated with one or more programs. He/She oversees the overall program with primary focus on strategy, implementation and task delegation to project managers. The Program Manager, Information Technology helps the organization stay on schedule, in scope and on an upward trajectory of success and growth by executing strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget and timing for new initiatives.

  • Identifies key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors.

  • Partners with program managers peers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within Analytics.

  • Leads project teams for optimal return-on-investment; coordinates and delegates cross-project initiatives.

  • Analyzes, evaluates and overcomes program risks. Produces program reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Develops and manages program budget. Accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Competent-level business acuity.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of general/core job-related functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques and methods.

  • Strong knowledge/application of Project Management Process and various project execution methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Predictive)

  • Good working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes

  • Excellent leadership, time management, facilitation and organizational skills

  • Excellent listening, interpretation and project execution skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and influence at a higher level of leadership within the organization

  • Ability to train and evaluate effectiveness of individuals either in a one-to-one or small group situation

  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport and gain the trust of others

  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; competent in other systems required for the position

  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and/or nationally up to 20% of the time; flexible to work evening, weekends and/or holidays as needed

  • Spoken and written fluency in English

  • This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and Information, Business or Healthcare Administration, Project/Program Management or a related field required OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis

  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in project/program management required; preferably in healthcare, technology or related industry

  • Certifications in relevant Project Management practices: PMP, Certified Scrum Master, Program and Portfolio Management a plus

PAY RANGE:

$105,158 - $150,226 Salary
