The Professional Tutor will provide student academic support as part of the Learning Center at A&M-Central Texas. This role involves one-on-one and group consultations with students, including assistance with understanding academic concepts, writing within and across disciplines, implementing study strategies, and utilizing a range of applications. Professional tutors assist with and conduct workshops related to their areas of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to students and visitors.
Assist with general office duties, including generating reports and answering phones.
Support faculty and staff with special projects and events.
Manage multiple modes of communication with students, staff, and faculty.
Continuously develop tutoring skills and subject-matter expertise.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must possess of B.S. or B.A. related to TAMUCT fields of study.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
In-depth knowledge of a field or area of study.
Evidence of subject-matter proficiency through transcripts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
M.A. or M.S. related to TAMUCT fields of study.
Previous experience as a tutor or a related academic support role in higher education.
Experience with statistics, including SPSS and other relevant software.
Hours: 19.5hrs per week. Days and times are flexible.
Compensation: $14.00
