As part of the Unconventional Business Unit’s Operations Team, the Operator works in conjunction with the Area Lead Operators to support the following facilities: area wells, pipelines, compressors and process equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of sweet gas wells, process equipment and associated pipelines.
  • Operation of high-pressure gas compressors.
  • Assist in the implementation of program standards, practices and site-specific procedures to ensure compliance with Loss Control Standards.
  • Ensure all operating and maintenance activities are conducted in a safe, effective manner in accordance with Repsol policies and legislated regulations
  • Develop action plans and utilize Team Assignment database to prioritize work plans with area operators and maintenance team
  • Provide input to area project plans and coordinate commissioning/start-up of new facilities with Lead Operator
  • Participate in area initiatives to improve practices for operations and maintenance programs
  • Review and explanation of production volumes, area costs and input into yearly budgets.
  • Locate and mark underground facilities in operating area.
  • Install, operate and optimize plunger lift systems
  • Enter daily production data into a computer system, using word processing, spreadsheet and other critical software
  • The majority of work is outdoors, in all weather conditions.

Eligibility for Consideration

  • Must be fully authorized for employment in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
  • Local residency with the availability to report onsite in the field and/or office as needed.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Experience & Required Qualifications

  • Must have experience working as an Operator in the oil and gas industry or similar.
  • Strong compressor and instrumentation background, including PLC knowledge.
  • Hands-on training and/or formal education in compression, PLCs, gas measurement, instrumentation, valves and metering would be highly desirable.

Salary

  • In accordance with New York State law, the base salary for this position is $76,500 annually. Final compensation is determined by the candidate’s placement within the Operator Progression Model.
  • Placement within Repsol’s Operator Progression Model (Operator III, II, I) and the corresponding base salary is determined by the candidate’s cumulative years of relevant experience and successful completion of the progression model’s established criteria.
  • New hires typically start at Operator III unless development requirements have been previously completed for Operator II eligibility based upon the criteria for that level.

Location & Schedule

  • Field-based role, onsite full time, local candidates residing within ~1 hr. commute are encouraged to apply. Position does not include relocation assistance.
  • This role follows a field operations schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.
