Production Manager

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will lead a team of production supervisors and frontline employees to deliver safe, high-quality food products while meeting cost and efficiency goals. You'll be responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple departments, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.

Your Impact

  • Lead and coach production supervisors to meet daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets
  • Champion food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all production areas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources to align on production goals and resolve issues
  • Monitor labor usage, ingredient consumption, and equipment performance to ensure cost-effective operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and employee engagement
  • Ensure timely communication across shifts and departments to maintain alignment and accountability
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management in partnership with Human Resources
  • Promote a safe work environment through training, awareness, and enforcement of safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean and organized production floor that meets internal and external audit standards
  • Share key metrics with supervisors to encourage ownership and improvement

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience managing production operations in a food manufacturing environment
  • At least 2 years of experience directly supervising multiple teams or departments
  • Demonstrated success in reducing production costs, improving throughput, or increasing labor efficiency
  • Hands-on experience with safety programs such as lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, and PPE compliance
  • Proficient in using production data to identify trends, solve problems, and drive performance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop leaders

Compensation: 

Pay Range:$81,000-$118,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
