SUMMARY:  

The Production Coordinator provides essential support the Producer and Production Manager (PM) in overseeing front-end departments for CG animation series production, including story, assets, editorial, shipping, and post-production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages day-to-day tracking of episodic status in production database
  • Breakdown scripts in various stages (Outline, 1st Draft, 2nd Draft) to assess episode complexity
  • Coordinates shipping materials to partner studios with ensuring all files are organized and properly labeled.
  • Drives and/or takes notes during Storyboard Reviews, Animatic Reviews, Editorial sessions, etc - and distributes information to Producers and Executives as needed
  • Facilitate communication with partner studios by answering questions and coordinating the delivery of materials in a timely manner
  • Perform daily check-ins with members of production, artists and supervisors to determine the status of work on the show
  • Track the work against schedules and production reports
  • Manages workload and priorities of a Production Assistant
  • Before materials are sent to partner studios, oversee the process of quality control such as CG assets, design model packs, and all reference material
  • Assist in overseeing project schedules to ensure the successful achievement of milestones and deadlines
  • Coordinate and schedule production meetings
  • Takes notes during meetings and distributes information to department afterwards
  • Maintain organized production files within existing directory structures
  • Communicates with team members effectively and performs daily check ins with members of production, artists and supervisors to determine the status of work on the show
  • Respond promptly to all production-related communications
  • Coordinate travel for production
  • Special projects as needed
  • Serve as a central point of contact, connecting internal and external partners to the appropriate departments
  • Organize files that are received so that it is easily retrievable and archived

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous episodic production coordination experience working within a CG series
  • Highly organized, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage a high volume of work, and maintain composure under tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently and set appropriate priorities
  • Highly adaptable; capable of both taking direction and proactively taking initiative
  • Able to maintain a high level of discretion
  • Computer and technology literate – familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems, Photoshop, Word, Excel, Gmail and Shotgrid

The anticipated base salary for this position is $25/hour to $31/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
