As the Production Assistant, you thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and have a passion for business news.
You will be offered the following shift:
Monday-Friday, 3:30 AM ET - 11:30 AM ET
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist producers with elements for the opens, resets, teases, and segments, including pulling and cutting VO/SOTs; selecting, buying photos, and making pic pushes; creating graphics
Coordinate reporter hits and produce highlight reels
Help manage and oversee graphic elements during the show ranging from banners to stock charts in the control room during the live broadcast
Pitch stories for news of the day and future segments
Book guests during breaking news situations
Learn to conduct pre-interviews, research topics, and produce segments
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
Strong interest in business news or economics
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Ability to multitask under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-25.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
