Product Technical Leader

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate & communicate with customers as the main technical interface between Valeo R&D and the customer 

• Liaise with functional leads to drive project timeline & ensuring R&D Mechatronic planning is in place to ensure project milestones are met.

• Ensure project timeline risks are understood, highlighted & mitigated

• Liaise with functional managers to compile R&D costs for RFI’s / RFQ’

• Present project updates to peers, colleagues & management

• Support other disciplines outside R&D, e.g. quality, process, purchasing, etc. in bringing the project to start of production (SOP) .

Management of the contributors:

• Daily management of the Mechatronic project team.

• Ensure the Mechatronic team are working on the priority topics

• Regular review with his/her R&D manager or Product Manager and the Discipline Department Managers to check alignment between needs and availabilities.

Required Skills:

• ​​Minimum 5 years experience in project management of multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or other similar environment 

• Experience in dealing with customers 

• Experience in leading teams and dealing with internal functions & departments

• Extensive experience in planning of projects & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar planning tools

• Good knowledge of validation / testing programs
