Role Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Gaming Platform Product Owner to drive impactful improvements that enhance both the Flutter UKI customer experience and business performance. Reporting to the Product Owner Manager, you will serve as the bridge between business and technology, delivering innovative features and enhancements across web and mobile platforms.

This is a backend development focused role, where you will help shape and evolve the foundational capabilities of Flutter UKI's Gaming Platform. You will translate complex challenges into clear, actionable steps that accelerate product development. With a strong focus on product strategy and execution, you will empower teams to explore problems and solutions while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Acting as the key link between internal stakeholders and delivery teams, you will bring clarity, prioritization, and a results-driven mindset to everything you do.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the roadmap for core platform services to ensure they are secure, scalable, and designed to meet the needs of the business and its users. By maintaining and refining a well-prioritized backlog, you will enable the delivery of valuable, outcome-focused improvements to internal platforms, keeping teams aligned on what matters most.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

•  Lead requirements gathering and translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring dependencies are understood, requirements are accurate, and delivery teams can execute efficiently.
• Drive backlog grooming, release planning, roadmapping, and benefit tracking while producing clear release communications and progress updates.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and UX teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, intuitive, and aligned with technical and business goals.
• Contribute to technical discussions (e.g., architecture, scalability, integrations), balancing commercial priorities with technical feasibility.
• Ensure all deliverables meet company-wide standards for performance, security, compliance, and maintainability.
• Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, fostering transparency, prioritization, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies to maximize delivery efficiency and platform coherence.
• Drive adoption, operational readiness, and measurable value from new platform capabilities and integrations.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure traceability of requirements for re-use and compliance.
• Identify risks early, communicate trade-offs, and propose mitigation strategies skills.

Capabilities & Experience Required:

Previous experience as a Product Owner (or similar role) in a technical, platform, or backend development environment.

• Strong background in product development, with proven ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams, delivery leads, and senior stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
• Skilled in managing and prioritising complex backlogs with multiple technical dependencies.
• Experience with automation and collaboration tools to streamline workflows and internal processes (e.g., Slack, Confluence, Jira).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach (e.g., A/B testing, Google Analytics).
• Knowledge of requirements elicitation and specification techniques, ensuring clarity and traceability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills,  able to simplify complex concepts, influence senior management, and drive alignment.
• A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset balancing long-term platform vision with short-term execution priorities.
• Experience working within structured project lifecycles and Agile delivery practices.
