We are seeking an enthusiastic and focused Product Owner to drive the delivery and migration of our planned roadmap First Responder Mobile and Handheld software products. This role will initially focus on collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to execute the software roadmap. A key responsibility will be collaborating with Customer Success Teams by identifying and coordinating the migration of existing customers onto new platform products within the Motorola Solutions portfolio.
You will:
Engage with the business and stakeholders to enable the delivery of the product releases in a business-value-oriented manner.
Make timely and decisive decisions regarding product development priorities for their attached team(s), including balancing support product backlog items, technical debt, and new features.
Work with Product Managers and technical leaders to understand the product requirements and gaps to enable their delivery and priority by the product team.
Work alongside and with the development teams to assist in the creation of well-maintained, refined, prioritized product backlogs that include consistent and measurable “definitions of done”.
Work with Customer Success Teams to identify and coordinate migration of customers onto new platforms within the Motorola Solutions portfolio.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to present the current state of the backlog.
Define product release plans, including measuring their progress towards completion and tracking the predictability.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline
4+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager with a strong background in agile software development and management best practices, including build environments and automated testing
Excellent communication skills to assemble, convey, and present complex schedules as well as identify and provide solutions to meet the strategy that the portfolio requires from a technical perspective.
Previous experience with Jira & Confluence is required.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
