Product Operations Manager, Boarding

Location: Remote


Role Overview

The Product Operations Manager plays a critical role in enabling product teams to operate effectively, efficiently, and with scale within our Boarding Product team. Boarding encompasses both legal/credit boarding (i.e. merchant registration, verification and underwriting) as well as the technical set-up required to enable processing.  This role ensures that tools, processes, and data practices across the product lifecycle are optimized to support decision-making and successful delivery. You will collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and go-to-market partners to streamline workflows, improve reporting, and foster a culture of data-driven product development.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative, with experience in process design, tooling, and stakeholder management within a product-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Support the execution and continuous refinement of our Product Ways of Working (PWoW), including governance cadences, decision gates, and review forums.
     

  • Document, maintain, and improve standard processes, playbooks, and templates for intake, prioritization, planning, and delivery.
     

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency and consistency.
     

  • Partner with leadership to ensure operational readiness for new initiatives.
     

Tooling & Data Enablement

  • Administer and optimize product tools (e.g., Jira Product Discover, Jira, Confluence, Pendo, etc.) to support intake, roadmapping, execution, and measurement.
     

  • Ensure tool usage and reporting meet the needs of product teams and leadership, including dashboards, roadmaps, and KPI scorecards.
     

  • Spearhead the use of the tools for the product team, to ensure optimal and consistent utilization.
     

Data-Driven Insights

  • Support definition, tracking, and reporting of KPIs and OKRs for product and operational success.
     

  • Partnering with teams to develop dashboards and regular reports to provide visibility into product performance, customer behaviors, and delivery health.
     

  • Partner with product managers and analysts to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
     

  • Automate reporting where possible to improve efficiency.
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a connector between product, engineering, analytics, and go-to-market teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and timelines.
     

  • Communicate tool updates, process changes, and best practices to stakeholders.
     

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and training across product teams.
     

  • Represent product operations in cross-functional projects and forums.
     

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or program/project management within a product-led organization.
     

  • Familiarity with modern product management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum, empowered teams, customer discovery).
     

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
     

  • Proficiency with product management and collaboration tools (Jira Product Discovery, Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Pendo, Miro, etc.).
     

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in reporting and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
     

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across functions and influence without authority.
     

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field.
