About the Role

In your role as a Product Manager, you will be a member of our Self-Service Platform (SSP) team.  The SSP team is responsable for building out products and features on our latest technology stack, which empowers CPA and law firm administrators to manage their accounts, including billing, payments, and user administration. You will develop a comprehensive and bold product vision, strategy, roadmap, breaking out epics into applicable quarters through extensive quarterly planning with cross-functional teams. Additional responsibilities include conducting experiments to test out hypothesis, executing POCs to prioritize backlogs, setting key business objectives (OKRs) for your product and then execute on the delivery of that strategy and roadmap while monitoring GTM enhancements, reporting on metrics to define next iteration of enhancement with thorough operational monitoring.

Responsibilities 

  • Product planning, discovery, build, launch and post launch management of new and/or enhanced self-service capabilities for account administration, billing, payment, and user management, including design, development, and launch activities
  • Responsible for supporting and leading front-end scrum teams 
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional meetings to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery 
  • Responsible for backlog health, leading sprint reviews, refinement meetings, and participating in sprint demos. 
  • Create standards, processes, and policies and participate in testing/validation. 
  • Responsible for the planning of 1-2 quarters in advance of execution for both design and development 
  • Ability to test out hypothesis and experiment to help inform future roadmaps. 
  • Data driven approach when prioritizing backlog, defining what success looks like prior to launch and monitoring post launch. 
  • Conduct or participate in market and competitive analysis to drive the creation and positioning of propositions, products, or services. 
  • Supports definition and communication of features and benefits/key selling points and competitive positioning to key stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of stakeholders, cross functional teams. 
  • Develop and execute plans to sunset obsolete propositions, products, or services. 
  • May support commercial facing teams in client engagement and retention activities. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the company’s propositions, products, or services and industry trend 

About You

You’re a fit for the role if you have the following:  

  • You’ve honed your product management playbook which includes leading with customer-driven innovation backed by qualitative and quantitative data  
  • 3+ years in Agile (Scrum preferred) environment, with a proven understanding of the development life cycle, including but not limited to requirements definition, user experience, development practices, testing, and deployment  
  • Proven ability to take initiative within a matrix organization to build strong, productive relationships based on excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
  • History of partnering and collaborating with architects and engineers in writing clear user stories  
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve bold strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment and able to flex between multiple workstreams  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop an inspiring product vision, strategy, and roadmap  
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology  
  • Able to apply knowledge of how a product is designed, built, deployed, and maintained in an enterprise environment; you transparently manage risk by collaborating with team, keeping stakeholders informed, and unpack your principles and approach  
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams (bonus points for having software engineering or data analytics in your background)  
  • Track record of delivering high-impact iterative products that solve big customer problems, delivered on time and on budget  
  • Ability to articulate clear and concise specifications for new products and new features with a strong affinity towards the developer community 
  • Understands at a high level the landscape of tools and technologies that developers use to bring products to market  
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to articulate and evangelize a strategy at every level of the organization  
  • Ability to prioritize new feature launches based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, and company vision 
  • Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles with large teams to achieve a common goal  
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional team(s) without formal authority
