The Product Manager, Enterprise Product plays a pivotal role in shaping the technology ecosystem that powers Essex’s operational excellence. This role provides the strategic guidance, evaluation, implementation, and deployment of property management and corporate systems and processes. The Product Manager will provide ongoing system ownership in collaboration with the Enterprise Product Director and team by ensuring that consistent practices are used to maintain the integrity of the systems, policies & procedures. The Product Manager will work with Service Desk delivery teams to fully train and document all necessary steps for Essex associate support of systems and applications. This role will regularly collaborate with the Product Support team and will often serve as a point person for escalation of product related issues. The Product Manager is responsible for guiding the consistent use of applications and systems and will ensure the effective delivery of products and services to meet all Essex associates’ needs.
This role is part of the Enterprise Applications team which is part of the larger Essex Technology team. The Essex Technology team is a group of passionate technologists dedicated to collaborating with each other while supporting and driving Essex to a tech-forward future.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Work closely with business and technical subject matter experts to gather requirements as well as identify, evaluate and select feasible solutions.
- Continuously assess processes to make ongoing improvements to how Essex develops, communicates and delivers projects to the company.
- Develop extensive working knowledge of applications regularly used by on-site and corporate associates.
- Manage vendor relations with new and existing vendors supplying technology solutions, ensuring strong performance, aligned expectations, and successful delivery of solutions.
- Assist management with identifying and developing property related and corporate document management processes, as they relate to associated applications.
- Create comprehensive support materials and train Service Desk analysts, as needed.
- Develop and maintain training materials and schedules, when needed.
- Deliver training programs virtually and on-site, as needed.
- Coordinate with operations to test and deploy new applications, features, and functionality.
- Troubleshoot application related issues reported by customers and provide support and training solutions via phone, email, or web support.
- Establish, monitor, and continuously refine technology best practices in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the evolving needs of the Enterprise Applications team.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record of driving successful product lifecycle execution.
- Multi-family housing industry experience required, with deep familiarity in the operational needs of on-site and corporate teams.
- Hands-on experience with Yardi, OnSite, and other multi-family technology platforms supporting prospect management, resident lifecycle activities, and on-site operational workflows.
- Proficiency in business analytics and data interpretation to support informed decision-making; advanced analysis skills are preferred.

- Expertise in evaluating business requirements and aligning them with scalable, fit-for-purpose application solutions.
- Strong capability in identifying implementation risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring successful change enablement.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences across the organization.
- Proven experience delivering effective classroom and virtual training programs that drive proficiency and engagement.
- Exceptional customer service acumen and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence cross-functional partners.
- Requires the ability to work Monday through Friday. The position includes in-person work requirements consistent with the hybrid policy located at Essex's corporate office in Irvine (CA), Bellevue (WA), Woodland Hills (CA), or San Mateo (CA). The hybrid policy is subject to change at Essex’s sole discretion.

The pay range for this position is $91,000.00 - $136,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $91,000.00 - $114,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
