Position Overview
PRODUCT MANAGER, Business Intelligence -Remote
Our enterprise Engineering, Data and Infrastructure team at Zelis is seeking a driven and analytical Product Manager, Business Intelligence to join our technical product team. As a Product Manager, you will orchestrate the product lifecycle of our business intelligence (BI) work in close collaboration with engineering leads through definition of business requirements, coordination with various technical and non-technical teams, and facilitation of a robust pipeline for internal use cases. Together with other product managers, you’ll be responsible for delivering on our product roadmap to support the current and future needs of the business.
We are looking for someone passionate about creating business insights with a strong product management background to join our growing technical product team.
Responsibilities
Become an expert in your product area, acting as the go to person for other stakeholders before speaking to the technical BI engineering teams
Collaborate with BI engineers, data engineers and other internal product teams to scope new or refine existing reports and insights that increase business value, adoption, and user engagement
Draft clear and concise business requirements and technical product documentation
Interface with internal to Zelis business and product teams to manage the intake process for new requests
Understand how your product area links into the wider roadmap and be able to highlight both dependencies and opportunities for growth
Define key performance indicators to evaluate BI products. Monitor usage and performance of BI tools to continuously improve user experience and adoption.
Be the voice of the customer in technical discussions and facilitate the relationship between the business teams and technical BI teams for your product areas
Evangelize use of data chat and AI supported insight tools to support business reporting. Lead initiatives to evolve dashboards from reactive reporting to automated insights that drive proactive decision-making.
Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including engineering, architecture, operations, product, marketing, partnerships, and customer success
Collaborate with technical product analysts to support engineering teams through the delivery lifecycle
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data visualization and analytics, evangelizing innovative features to enhance business impact and user adoption.
Experience
3+ years of technical product management experience with demonstrated ability to define product scope and deliver alongside technical teams
An ability to listen to diverse audiences, identify requirements, gaps and barriers, and translate needs into product features
Technical depth that enables you to collaborate with BI and data engineers to drive technical discussions about design of data visualizations, data models, ETLs, and AI derived insights
Possess strong communication skills, with clear verbal communication as well as explicit and mindful written communication skills
Strong understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Modelling and AI derived insight concepts and other data tools such as Sigma, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, and Snowflake (including CortexAI).
Well-versed in Agile frameworks and product tools such as Jira and Confluence
Experience collecting and collating use cases and managing intake processes for new features
Open to candidates with either B2B or B2C experience and outside the healthcare industry; critical to success in this role is being intellectually curious, a self-starter, and experience building BI products
Strong background in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to translate complex financial metrics into actionable business intelligence solutions that support strategic decision-making across finance and operations

Location and Workplace Flexibility
We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
Base Salary Range
$105,000.00 - $140,000.00At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
