Special domain expertise: EBI Voltage Contrast (VC) Product Expert

Recognized as an expert within the company and recognized as an industry expert in a particular technical field. Recognized internally (across Business Units) as one of the limited numbers of technical experts in their field of expertise; Key contribution for product roadmap and strategy; Be highly involved and influence product roadmap; Conceive and implement new technology, normally named as primary inventor on numerous critical patents and recognized through awards and/or published papers within the last five years. Understand customers roadmap in order to give great solutions for product roadmap; through in-depth understanding of customer technologies and critical gaps, lead product roadmap for future solutions; recommends process, product or methodology improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Contributes to the development strategy. Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full product PRD.

  • Identify marketing roadmap and future customer needs in order to provide correct product roadmap.

  • Identify need -Analysis, Develop and Transfer new application capabilities in the system envelope from product division to customer application support team.

  • Technically leads difficult, complex problem-solving solutions.

  • Defines customer technical requirements, through deep analysis and clear understanding of the product roadmap.

  • Key member in red team.

  • Generate patents.

  • Define new methodologies in order to optimized system performance for specific application.

  • Lead customer technical review meetings.

  • This technical staff position leads and/or develops and executes exceptionally complex technology and engineering projects and leads research and development of new technologies as appropriate.

  • Works on critical complex issues that impact longer term product development and business success measured by one or more of the following: incremental revenue growth, market share increases, key customer penetrations, time to market improvement and commercial value of the work.

  • Develop innovative solutions as part of proven track record of significant technology contributions.

  • Leads and collaborates to contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.

  • Guides less experienced engineers in utilizing techniques to define methods and new technologies and apply them on unusually complex systems.

  • Involved in judging the approach and verifying the validity of technical strategies.

Functional Knowledge

  • Regarded as the technical expert in detection flow in 2-3 particular field including broad view of customer needs and roadmap.

  • Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.

  • Anticipates business and regulatory issues; recommends product, process or service improvements.

Leadership

  • Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution.

  • Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions.

  • Impacts the direction of product roadmap by in depth understanding of customer roadmap and product limitations.
