Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Product Definition Drafting Analysis to support our North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide support to Design Analysts by modeling, drafting, and validating engineering product definitions to ensure compliance with Product Definition ESW standards and alignment with design intent.
  • Develop parametric NX models and product definitions in accordance with ASME and Pratt & Whitney standards, including creation of 2D associative drawings or Model‑Based Definitions (MBD).
  • Partner with Design Engineering in a design‑assist capacity to contribute to the development of hot and cold section static hardware.
  • Initiate and process Class II engineering changes, completing all required activities through the start of the Teamcenter workflow.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain product-related data within Teamcenter/NX Manager to support both new design initiatives and Class I engineering activities.

  • Build hands-on experience with Model-Based Design and Manufacturing Inspection (DMI) processes.
  • Strengthen teamwork and collaboration skills by working closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
  • Develop foundational design assistance and entry-level design knowledge, supporting the creation of high-quality technical solutions.
  • Enhance proficiency in industry-leading tools such as Teamcenter and NX.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance at the Secret Level is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5) standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) practices.
  • Background working with BOAS and airfoil components in a design or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with NX CAD software and Teamcenter product lifecycle management tools.

Department/Segment Overview:

  • North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC): The NBEC organization is responsible for engineering activities for hardware throughout the gas turbine, including the Fan/Low Pressure Compressor, High Pressure Compressor, Combustor, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure Turbine, and Mechanical System modules across all of Pratt & Whitney's military and commercial products. NBEC is co-located with Pratt & Whitney’s largest manufacturing facility, where there is hands-on collaboration between manufacturing, assembly, and engineering groups. This specific opportunity is to join our team of military turbine component designers.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.  This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about the role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 40,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
