Purchasing Manager – Be a Key Partner in Our Value Chain

As Purchasing Manager, you will be an important partner for our Norwegian production sites. This is a role with significant impact, requiring cross-functional collaboration, strategic insight, and the ability to deliver operational results.

You will be responsible for adapting local purchasing strategies to global standards and managing procurement across multiple categories – with a particular focus on raw material sourcing, including services related to seaweed harvesting, maintenance and spare parts (MRO), investments (CAPEX), and administrative costs (SG&A). The role also includes supplier development and continuous improvement to ensure long-term value for the organization.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement purchasing strategies for our Norwegian sites in line with global guidelines and company objectives.
Act as the link between local departments and the global procurement team.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand needs, plan purchases, and improve procurement services.
Lead local procurement projects and ensure value creation.
Analyze purchasing costs and market trends, and identify new supplier opportunities.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
Maintain purchasing data and KPIs in the ERP system (SAP) and report results to local and global management.
Manage supplier-related processes, from evaluation and contract negotiations to performance follow-up and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

Higher education in procurement, economics, logistics, or equivalent.
Solid background in strategic purchasing, preferably in an international environment.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across functions.
Proactive and structured work style with an analytical approach.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as strong MS Office skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Spanish is an advantage.
