Job Summary
This role is responsible for improving processes critical to Purchasing and Global Sourcing operations. Responsibilities include performing research and analysis of data, policies and procedures, quality assurance and controls and system requirements in response to escalations & issues reported. Take the lead in generating and updating process documents based on his/her findings, with recommended improvements or new requirements. Drive collaboration among global internal stakeholders and business contacts to improve operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management – drive key projects and manage changes in the operations that add value to the business.
Project implementation - assist in the creation of training materials and/or conduct training sessions, as needed.
Monitor implemented methodologies, processes and best practices for adoption and compliance.
Review, analyze and evaluate process performance for improvement initiatives.
Identify root cause of process issues and propose corrective, preventive and containment measures.
Facilitate internal and external communication and provide insightful reporting to senior management in a timely and effective manner.
Document and update process flow documents, procedures and work instructions.
Define, monitor, and report key metrics
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Applied knowledge of analytical tools and project management tools.
Demonstrated ability to apply a systematic approach to problem solving; Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge on how to document current and future state business / transactional processes.
Must have effective communication and facilitation skills.
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities preferred.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge in ERP systems and applications, preferably, SAP and Ariba.
Intermediate knowledge in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel (Excel Formulas, Pivot tables, etc.) and MS PowerPoint.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering or related courses.
At least 5 years of working experience as Sourcing / Procurement / Procure to Pay process analyst or project manager. Experience working with global and regional teams preferred.
Experience in leading projects that required working with multi-disciplined teams; experience working with world-wide teams preferred.
Experience in developing and documenting processes.
Experience in gathering and soliciting business/process/customer requirements.
Experience in defining, monitoring, and reporting key metrics.
