Provide technical guidance and support to Area Process Coordinators
Troubleshoot & escalate plant deviations, communicating production risk.
Utilize stable operations, Lean, and other Continuous Improvement tools to drive process improvements that focus on environmental compliance, exposure reduction, equipment reliability, and sustainability.
Assist APCs within the MOS to resolve & escalate actions.
Assist with the management of day-to-day operations and maintenance for the plant Storm Sewers, Process Sewers (including all primary and secondary treatment equipment), end containment, flood management systems, and outfalls.
Assist with management of day-to-day operation of the on-site Wastewater Testing & Monitoring Laboratory; provide technical expertise, leadership, and training to five area lab technicians
Resolve PHA actions as assigned by PHA results
Develops, leads, and implements MOC’s and PSSRC’s
Strictly adhere to all applicable water, air, and waste regulations; specifically responsible for meeting all aspects of the site SPDES water discharge permit.
Lead small to mid-sized capital and structural improvement projects and provide technical knowledge / expertise to the onsite project engineering team for larger project needs.
Support the site Utilities Council in all forms of energy efficiency initiatives, energy productivity project execution, and best practice sharing.
Experience with and knowledge of EHS regulatory program requirements, including RCRA, Clean Air Act, HAZWOPER, SPDES, CBS, SPCC.
The following are required for the role
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience, to include applicable co-op/intern experience.
High degree of initiative, ownership, and energy.
Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and lead teams in cross-functional settings to drive change.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Willingness to learn and achieve new objectives.
The following are preferred for the role
Six Sigma training and working knowledge of Six Sigma tools.
Experience with Utilities Operations (Steam Generation, Compressed Air and Nitrogen Systems, and Water Distribution Systems).
Experience with sampling required for boiler feedwater analysis.
Understanding of water treatment chemical chemistry.
Experience with and knowledge of EHS regulatory program requirements, including RCRA, Clean Air Act, HAZWOPER, SPDES, CBS, SPCC.
Preferred (2) years’ experience in chemical manufacturing.
Working knowledge of Pi data historian system, SAP, MS Office, Team Guru.
