RYAM is seeking an entry level Process Engineer to join our manufacturing facility in Fernandina Beach, Florida.  As an entry-level Engineer, your responsibility will be to support operations teams to result in safe, effective, sustainable, and cost-effective operations.  Process engineers will perform studies on the existing process to lower production costs by increasing yields, improving efficiency of raw material usage, and reducing losses.

How you’ll shape the future of the quality of our products:

  • Evaluate new processes, propose process changes, and make pilot and full-scale studies.
  • Utilize analysis and problem-solving tools.
  • Expand knowledge, experience, technical excellence, and proficiencies in key competencies in preparation for greater responsibilities.
  • Assist plant supervision in maintaining high standards for quality, environmental compliance, productivity, and safety. 
  • Rotation of positions in other areas of the mill, including Shift Supervisor, to expand knowledge and experience.

You’ll be someone who can bring:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
  • Must be flexible to work in multi-shift operation
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and team skills
