Location/Division Specific Information:

This role is in the Single Use Division and will be performed at our Millersburg, PA location.

How You Will Make an Impact:

 A Process Designer specializes in developing and optimizing processes within a manufacturing or production environment. They focus on creating detailed documentation within the assembly packets that guides production on optimizing headcount and being efficient with the builds. Process Designers ensure that these processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. They work closely with other departments to implement improvements and maintain high levels of productivity and quality.

A Day in the Life:

  • Creates and modifies packets for simple assemblies, including:
    • Tube Sets
    • 2D BP’s
    • 3D BPC’s
  • Uphold Thermo Fisher Scientific’s core values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement in all daily activities.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Uses Master Control to download and upload standard assembly packets.
  • Complete assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Actively participate in the company’s continuous improvement programs.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional technical training or certifications with computer systems and software, preferred.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Manufacturing

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Master Control or similar document management system
  • Certified in assembly setup training
  • Certified in assembly tasks
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Adobe software, Microsoft Excel, and other tools relevant to role and packet creation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to work in a fast paced controlled cleanroom environment 8 hours a day with additional overtime as the need arises for production schedule adherence
  • The Clean-room is controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise.
  • Specific gowning is required including: gloves, hair & beard net and face cover, safety glasses with no makeup / jewelry, and the like.
  • · Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene
