Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Specialist to join our Private Wealth team in London. This role is critical in supporting Blackstone’s fundraising and client engagement efforts, ensuring wealth management professionals and their clients have a seamless experience and a deep understanding of Blackstone’s investment capabilities.
The ideal candidate is passionate about alternative investments, thrives in a collaborative environment, and demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Blackstone’s mission of delivering innovative investment solutions to wealth management professionals and their clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a resource for the sales team and clients by addressing a wide range of questions related to Blackstone’s products, market views, and investment strategies.
• Represent Blackstone’s investment businesses to wealth investors.
• Analyze the competitive landscape by reviewing peer filings, presentations, and other materials.
• Distill key qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product positioning and strategy.
• Manage client-facing materials and processes through Blackstone’s Legal & Compliance infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Investor Services, Finance, etc.) to support product initiatives and ensure alignment across functions.
• Leverage and enhance knowledge of capital markets to contextualize Blackstone’s offerings within diversified investment portfolios.
• Identify opportunities to improve team processes, including information sharing, communication with sales teams, and global coordination.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Investment Sales, or Asset Management.
• Familiarity with the alternatives industry and competitive landscape, with a strong desire to deepen expertise.
• Experience with investing, particularly through a wealth management lens, is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively distill complex investment topics for diverse audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with sales teams, investment teams, and other internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with analytical tools such as Microsoft Office, Morningstar Direct, and Bloomberg.
• Language skills in French, German, Dutch, or Italian are highly desirable.
