Print/Bindery Production Technician

Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for producing all organizational in-house printed materials (7.5 million copies annually), for 16 hospitals and
numerous physician practices, along with many ambulatory sites. This position also requires knowledge of bindery finishing needs.

Responsibilities And Duties:

70%  
Operates all digital output production equipment, color, and black & white units, which includes electronic pre-press composition of all print materials.
Must be skilled and knowledgeable about operation of the newest digital press equipment.
 
25% 
Must be proficient in operating bindery equipment such as hydraulic paper cutter, folder, hydraulic punch unit, duplo finisher unit, padder, lamination equipment, and operating shrink wrap equipment for packaging all printed materials. Inspects all printed material produced to ensure superior quality output.
 
5% 
Ability to recommend when machines need preventative maintenance, make adjustment or minor repairs, call for service when necessary. Follow all service schedules to avoid equipment failures that could result in lost productivity and job output for customers.
