Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Program Integrator. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

This position oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, managers, clients. and across assigned programs to optimize performance. Program integration statement of work will be in the following areas: Program Definition Documents; Strategic Rhythm; Processes, Tools & Infrastructure; Risk & Opportunity Management; Requirements Management; Staffing Integration; Earned Value Management to include being a Control Account Manager; Program Reviews & Presentations; Proposal Management; Dashboards / Metrics; Customer Engagement & Satisfaction; Issue Management; Action Items and Follow-through.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Role to serve as program integrator for the SLCM-N Program and across the Flexible Deterrence System portfolio.

  • Looking for someone with a mix of business, technical, and programmatic experience.

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, experience briefing, and MS Excel and PowerPoint, and Agile Program Management.

  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

  • Considered expert in field within the organization and demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks.

  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

  • Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.

  • Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.

  • Most assignments are complex and shall be performed independently without appreciable direction.

  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

  • Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization.

  • Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction.

  • Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

  • Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Principal Program Integrator: 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. In lieu of formal degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience may be considered.

  • Sr Principal program Integrator: 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. In lieu of formal degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience may be considered.

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university.

  • Experience in the defense industry, supporting government contracts.

  • AS9100 certified internal auditor.

  • Experience with Chief of Staff functions.

  • Experience with data analytics.

  • Experience with EVMS.

  • Top Secret Clearance is preferred.

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
