Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of a Principal Contract Administrator (A03)/Senior Principal Contract Administrator (A04) with experience in contract administration or related fields, including business management, supply chain management, business development, project management, or procurement. The candidate hired will be based out of our office in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and will be expected to work a hybrid work schedule—Full time remote is not an option.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Propose, negotiate, administer, extend, and close standard and non-standard contracts.
Provide advice to management and colleagues on contractual rights and obligations, compile and analyze data, and maintain historical information.
Be self-motivated and can handle urgent situations involving Northrop Grumman leadership and foreign and US government contracting officials.
Participate in proposal preparation and negotiations (review, analyze, interpret, and provide contractual advice on terms and conditions), review and approve contractual documentation to protect the company, and provide for proper contract administration and closeout in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
Provide contractual guidance in accordance with company policies and procedures and interface with both internal and external customers to ensure proper contract execution.
Ensure timely and compliant deliverables for all contracts supported.
Work complex assignments independently and support related functions including Finance, Program Management, and various levels of Management.
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Contract Administrator (A03) or Senior Principal Contract Administrator (A04).
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator (A03):
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management-related function; or a Master's degree or J.D. with a minimum of 3 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management-related function. Will consider 9 years of experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clauses and/or commercial clauses.
U.S. citizen, with the ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
Client facing and executive engagement experience.
Experience with daily use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other PC programs and software.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Contract Administrator (A04):
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management-related function; or a Master's degree or J.D. with a minimum of 6 years previous experience in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management-related function. Will consider 12 years of experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) clauses and/or commercial clauses.
U.S. citizen, with the ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
Client facing and executive engagement experience.
Experience with daily use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other PC programs and software.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Recent experience as a Contract Administrator in the international contracting field, particularly negotiating and/or administering sustainment contracts.
Recent experience as a Contract Administrator in the defense industry, particularly with the United States government negotiating and/or administering Production contracts.
Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Fixed Price and/or Cost-Reimbursement contracts.
Current/active security clearance.
Experience using SAP/1ERP.
J.D. or MBA

Primary Level Salary Range: $80,700.00 - $130,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
