Machining Commodity is seeking an energetic and proactive individual to lead and support strategic sourcing and commodity management activities to support overall sourcing and business objectives. The individual will work closely with transitions and execution teams as well as closely interact with key stakeholders such as Business Unit Cost Leads, Engineering, Quality, Special Process, Supplier Performance, Contracts, Compliance, Regional Offices and Suppliers.
What You Will Do:
Lead strategic transitions of machined parts to both domestic and international suppliers in the traditional and SBU-specific Work Transfer processes
Ensure use and compliance to COL-PRO-0008 (Collins work transfer policy)
Establish priorities and ensure timely execution of concurrent multiple projects
Serve as key point of contact with Supply Chain Management Cost Team, Business Units, Engineering, Quality, Special Process, Supplier Performance, Contracts, Compliance, Regional Offices and Suppliers
Present and provide project updates to all levels of the organization
Lead resolution of project setbacks including identifying alternate solutions, internal Collins escalation, interfacing with suppliers, etc.
Support teleconferences during off-hours due to time zone difference with suppliers in region
Help develop Part Family Strategy for Machining during the annual commodity and strategy process
Closely support the annual standard change process and participate in PPV reviews
Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

2+ years Project/Program Management Experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel using the tool to efficiently review, organize, and analyze data (Pivot Tables, formulas, V-LOOKUP)
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with SharePoint, Tableau, SAP and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Process design and governance (standard work)
Ability to deliver on customer commitments
Experience being an integrator across multiple teams, business segments, and sites
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
