Principal Software Engineer-Salesforce

Job Responsibilities

  • Management of Salesforce orgs
  • Application of DevSecOps formal processes and tools in a Salesforce-based environment
  • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems.
  • Devises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired results.
  • Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts.
  • Expertly and independently executes and delivers all phases of the development and configuration lifecycles with the highest levels of quality.
  • Independently manages and delivers large projects which include problems that are difficult and frequently complex.
  • Responds to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problems.

Job Qualifications

Education

·        Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment.

Experience

·        7 years - Systems and programming experience required

·        1 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required

·        1 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST.

 

Skills/Certifications

·           Salesforce APIs: Knowledge of Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Metadata) for integrating Salesforce with other systems.

·           Health or Marketing Cloud: Understanding of Health Cloud objects, components, and flows

·           Proven skill with information technology in use at BCBST is required.

·           Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects.

·           Recognized subject matter expert in one or more specialized areas of applications systems analysis and programming.

·           Expert ability to interpret and translate technical and/or or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.

·           Be organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with exceptional work ethic.

·           Leadership skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Salesforce experience, with deep expertise in Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce Industries (Vlocity).

  • Salesforce certifications such as Health Cloud Accredited Professional, Marketing Cloud Consultant, and Salesforce Industries Developer.

  • Experience in health insurance operations including quoting, enrollment, member engagement, and claims.

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and healthcare interoperability standards.

  • Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Salesforce certifications include Health Cloud, Application Architect, and Platform Developer II.

  • Experience working in regulated environments with strong understanding of HIPAA and data protection laws.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like ADO, Azure Boards, and Git/GitHub.
