Weâre seeking a Staff or Principal Firmware Engineer to serve as a technical lead and architect for Hatchâs embedded systems. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives at the intersection of hands-on problem solving and strategic technical leadership.
Youâll own the architecture and technical direction of Hatchâs connected device platformâdesigning scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems that power our family of sleep products. This is a hands-on technical leadership role â part systems thinker, part expert debugger, and part mentor â shaping how Hatch helps build healthy sleep habits. Youâll help define the technical architecture across low-level firmware, connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi), OTA, and real-time system design, ensuring reliability at scale across millions of devices in the field.
This role reports to the VP of Embedded Engineering and collaborates closely with leaders across Hardware, Mobile, Backend, and Product to deliver seamless, delightful user experiences.
