Principal Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a Principal Business Systems Analyst to realize the next generation of our Data and AI-enabled data compliance efforts and strategy. This foundational role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and data privacy across GTM routes and built directly into the platforms, applications and processes, underpinned by AI/ML and agentic capabilities.

This is a critical, high-impact position that requires a unique blend of foundational regulatory, legal and privacy compliance knowledge, expertise in core technology platforms, and AI tools, along with strong strategic business acumen to support compliant, context-aware GTM initiatives and solutions. You’ll be working closely with cross-functional teams across many business functions and regions within Red Hat and IBM including Legal, Infosec, IT, Data & AI, Sales, Partner Ecosystem and Corporate Marketing. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the domain expert to implement data compliance across Red Hat’s enterprise data environment, AI solutions, core business platforms and global GTM processes. 

  • Lead the automation of manual compliance processes in partnership with process automation and engineering teams to modernize processes and improve efficiency.

  • Influence the design and implementation of the compliance agentic solutions.

  • Consult on the development and implementation of AI solutions for Sales, Marketing, and Partner teams, ensuring adherence to compliance guardrails.

  • Translate complex global data privacy and compliance regulations into actionable, technical specifications for implementation across platforms and processes. 

  • Maintain the knowledge repository and enablement resources for data compliance, partnering with global legal and privacy teams.

  • Partner with the legal, privacy and compliance team to stay informed  of the latest data privacy and security regulations across all geographies.

  • Partner with IBM and Red Hat enterprise legal and compliance stakeholders in addressing queries or escalations as required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Business administration, or Information systems security or related field (Master’s preferred) with relevant data privacy & compliance certifications

  • 3+ years of direct domain experience in data compliance, privacy, and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), with proven, hands-on experience in supporting AI/ML solution design and implementation.

  • Strategic & Holistic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to design comprehensive, scalable end-to-end processes and solutions.

  • Process Ownership  Proven ability to manage large, complex business processes and related technical solutions.

  • Architectural Leadership: Experience in guiding architectural decisions that champion robust, long-term strategies.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate and simplify complex technical and regulatory concepts for non-technical stakeholders (Legal, Marketing, Sales). 

  • Comfortable operating in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment across time zones.

The salary range for this position is $106,910.00 - $176,470.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
