We are a product led analytics group within Boeing Defense and Space, transforming the way data is sourced, designed and used to help us scale seamlessly in face of incredible growth. We are looking for a Business Architect & a thought leader in how to design, implement, manage and scale our Analytics & AI products leveraging Palantir to orchestrate and harmonize BDS business logic to accelerate flow, quality, safety on production programs and position BDS to capture and execute new programs, outpacing the competition. You will join a growing Data Analytics, Engineering & Integration team that supports the data needs for internal stakeholders, across all business functions. You will report to the Sr Director of BDS Data Analytics and work closely with our leadership and business partners

Responsibilities:

·         Be the thought leader in BDS for the orchestration of business logic harmonizing the functions support to programs and internal program decision-making in execution across all functional disciplines including production engineering, including manufacturing engineering, supply chain engineering, and product engineering.

·         Develop and implement a vision for aligning BDS production systems into the next generation of processes and technologies and align the digital transformation vision with measurable KPIs and OKRs aligned to the top goal of accelerating flow now…and in the future

·         Serve as a bridge between and build strong relationships with domain experts, software engineering teams, IT and business leadership to ensure solutions are practical, future-proof, and value-driven.

·         Partners with business stakeholders translate functional requirements and business problems into relevant information streams, harmonized business logic, scalable architectures and analytics solutions that deliver measurable business value.

·         Define solution blueprints that enable all functions’ (including production engineering, supply chain engineering, and product engineering) processes, systems, tools, and procedures across the Boeing Defense and Space organization to support business objectives aligned to flow.

·         Integrate and extend the Palantir stack (Foundry, AIP) into BDS workflows and BDS Data Lakehouse to enable advanced analytics, AI, and decision-support capabilities aligned to flow at the program, division, business unit and company level.

·         Work with Functional leaders in BDS to harmonize requirements & business logic, streamline processes, systems and tools into the modern Data Lakehouse and Palantir stack.

·         Work with BDS Sapphire team to translate the current systems stack and relevant business logic into utopian state with focus on the BDS Lakehouse and Palantir foundational capabilities

·         Establish and maintain data standards to policies to drive consistency and standardization for all data assets in support of eliminating technical debt and positioning BDS data users to have the relevant information at pace to support their cross-functional decision-making

·         Establish architectural standards, frameworks, and roadmaps for cross-functional integration and digital transformation.

·         Provide domain leadership in aligning ontologies, data governance, and interoperability across functional systems.

·         Architect integrated solutions across all functions (including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, etc.) and external stakeholders to ensure fulfillment of the conditions necessary to achieve and exceed desired BDS business outcomes and long-term competitiveness.

·         Lead the design and governance of processes that harmonize functional workflows and data flows across all domains.

Basic Qualification:

  • A technically focused bachelor’s degree or PhD in aerospace/aeronautical engineering, industrial engineering, operations research, manufacturing engineering,

  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain domains, with at least 5 years in architecture, solution design, or BDS application integration roles.

  • A technically focused bachelor’s degree or PhD in aerospace/aeronautical engineering, industrial engineering, operations research, manufacturing engineering,

  • Experience in implementing software solutions for manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A technically focused master’s degree or PhD in aerospace/aeronautical engineering, industrial engineering, operations research, manufacturing engineering,

  • 12+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain domains, with at least 5 years in architecture, solution design, or BDS application integration roles.

  • Strong understanding of production engineering processes (scheduling, factory operations, industrial engineering, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering).

  • Experience with supply chain engineering concepts such as planning, logistics, and supplier collaboration.

  • Proven expertise in product engineering lifecycles (design, requirements management, eBOM, mBOM alignment).

  • Hands-on familiarity with Palantir Foundry and AIP, or equivalent data/AI platforms, especially in designing domain-aligned analytics/AI solutions.

  • Track record of driving enterprise-level solution integration across multiple functions and delivering measurable outcomes.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills to bridge business, technical, and functional perspectives.

  • Knowledge of data architecture, ontologies, and digital thread concepts in manufacturing/engineering/supply chain environments.

  • Understanding how to turn business problems into AI/ML problems.

  • Experience working directly with stakeholders on a variety of different requirements with different levels of technical understanding

  • Experience working with ITAR, EAR, and other types of sensitive data

Summary pay range: $180,200 - $261,050
