Position Overview:
We are seeking a data-driven leader to strategically analyze data from diverse sources using advanced predictive modeling, statistics, and trend analysis. In this role, you will drive informed decision-making and optimize business performance by transforming complex data into actionable insights, supporting AT&T’s mission to deliver innovative solutions and meaningful customer connections.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
Gather, analyze, and interpret diverse data sets to address a variety of business challenges, predict customer behaviors, and identify causal relationships, trigger points, and trends. You should be well-versed in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks Delta Lake). Data sources may include internal and external feeds, data lakes, and data warehouses such as eCDW and BIDW.
Statistical Methods, Predictive Modeling, and Decision Support:
Apply a wide range of advanced statistical methods, predictive modeling, and traditional modeling techniques (e.g., linear/logistic regression, time series analysis) to quantify variances, predict outcomes, and support decision-making. Validate predictive models using various data samples and confirm their accuracy in real-world scenarios. Proficiency with analytics tools such as Tableau, Palantir, Power BI (AI Insights), Databricks, AWS, Azure, Synapse, and H2O Driverless AI is highly desirable.
Business Case Development and Analytics Integration:
Develop business cases and create complex models leveraging big data analytics platforms for process integration and to recommend improvements to business processes, financials, and models. You will build innovative approaches for analyzing data and crafting solutions that address key business needs.
Reporting and Business Insights:
Design and deliver compelling data visualizations—including dashboards, reports, and charts—to communicate data patterns and relationships. Advise business partners on strategic direction based on your data-driven insights and recommendations.
Job Contribution:
As an expert in your field, you will apply broad business knowledge and strategic insight to emerging trends and technologies, solving complex problems and driving organizational results. You will lead critical, high-impact projects, design and implement innovative business strategies, and frequently consult with senior leadership, influencing executive decisions. This role also includes mentoring colleagues and assisting with complex challenges. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience:
Master’s degree (MS/MA) from an accredited university in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics is preferred.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Certification required in specific areas.
Our Principal Advanced Analytics earns between $143,800 - $215,800 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
