This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Compute is a key investment area for HPE.

We are looking for a Compute Presales Consultant who can challenge a customer’s current technical approach, translate requirements into solutions and work hand-in-hand with the Compute Sales Specialists and Account Managers to open and eventually win new opportunities.

As Compute Presales Consultant you:

  • Engage with customers – mainly defense accounts - to understand their business and technical requirements, assess their current infrastructure, and then position HPE compute solutions.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demos addressing specific customer pain points, requirements, and expectations - linking the technical features of our solutions with tangible benefits.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and channel partners– acting as a trusted advisor guiding them on products and solutions to best meet their needs, highlighting technical alternatives and possible shortcomings.
  • Collaborate with account teams both at HPE and Channel Partner to pursue an opportunity, respond to tenders, develop strategies to counter competitive threats, and design and size solutions.

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree (Master's or advanced degree in technology preferred)
  • + 5 years of experience in IT with a focus on technical consulting
  • Sales-oriented technology professional who can combine deep technical skills with excellent business acumen to motivate customers to follow you on a transformational journey
  • Knowing the HPE compute portfolio
  • Demonstrate technical skills in compute solutions f. ex. for different customer workloads like Virtualization, legacy applications and AI
  • Good consultative selling techniques such as active listening, framing, white boarding, storytelling
  • Taking pride in being knowledgeable on leading-edge and emerging technologies in the industry and enjoying meeting new customers and partners to talk tech
  • Excellence in communicating and presenting – both in German (fluent) and English (good proficiency)
