Job Description Summary

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated recent graduate with a master’s degree in analytical sciences related field (e.g. biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biotechnology), and a strong background in protein biochemistry?

This position is within our Biologics Analytical Development department, supporting process analytical method development and testing for biological products in clinical development for up to one year. The role offers opportunities to contribute to improvement initiatives and provide hands-on support to the teams in Process Analytical Sciences.


 

Job Description

Location: Basel, Switzerland #LI-Onsite

This Postgraduate internship is limited up to 1 year with the opportunity to start in January 2026.

Please note that we can only accept applicants who are eligible to work in Switzerland. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute analytical methods for process analytical testing of biological products

  • Evaluate modelling-based digital solutions for analytical method development

  • Support improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization projects.

  • Provide hands-on support to laboratory teams as needed

Essential Requirements:

  • Master´s degree in a relevant field (e.g. biochemistry, biology, chemistry, biotechnology, etc.) with experience in protein biochemistry

  • Hands-on laboratory experience with protein analysis

  • Solid knowledge of protein biochemistry

  • Good command of English (oral and written)

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with flexibility to take on diverse tasks

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with modeling-based digital solutions for laboratory applications

  • Savviness with digital applications

  • Interest in process improvement and continuous optimization

  • Quick grasp and passion to learn new things
