As a Portfolio Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering Portfolio data-driven insights and solutions across the Strategic Accounts (SA) organization. You will collaborate closely with Program Managers and leadership to lead a center of excellence focused on finance operations analytics, driving business performance through data.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a diverse portfolio with analytic use cases, including customer segmentation, leakage analysis, retail category management, and bid performance.
Manage the full lifecycle of Portfolio initiatives, from prioritization using valuation metrics to success measurement.
Develop and deliver operational reporting, dashboards, and solutions that inform strategic decision-making.
Maintain a portfolio-level view of analytics efforts while responding to ad hoc business needs.
Provide comprehensive analytics support for the Strategic Accounts business unit.
Apply business intelligence to enhance portfolio performance and generate measurable business impact.
Analyze Portfolio data to uncover trends, identify improvement opportunities, and proactively address emerging issues.
Oversee Portfolio data and dashboard development projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment of resources.
Provide technical support across key analytics domains including profitability, program performance, pricing, product launches/promotions, competitive intelligence, rebate tracking, contract auditing, and ad hoc analysis.
Act as a liaison for internal stakeholders, translating business needs into integrated technical solutions while ensuring the sustainability and growth of data assets.
Mentor team members on best practices in analytics, data reporting and visualization.
Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Communicate analytical insights in a clear, actionable manner to non-technical audiences.
Champion Portfolio data and analytics across McKesson, upholding BI standards and enabling self-service analytics capabilities.
Minimum Requirement
Education
Critical Skills
Expert in best practices in the areas of data mining & analytics, data visualization (preferably Tableau), and all variants of SQL programming
Excellent communication and presentation
Creative problem-solving and critical thinking
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Ability to work within and contribute to a diverse & high-performing workforce
Preferred Skills
Strong analytical and business intelligence skills; ability to repurpose and adapt documentation for various management levels.
Experience with business analytics or business intelligence in portfolio or program
Life Science, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry experience
