Swing ShiftOverview:
Sentara RMH Medical Center, in Harrisonburg, VA is currently hiring a Polysomnographic Sleep Technician Intern to work a Full Time, Rotating Swing shift.
Hours
Intern will start on a day shift for orientation and training, which will last approximately 6-8 weeks and will equal 36 hrs/wk (Four/9-hour shifts per week)
Once completed, will transition to a night shift rotation of Three/12-hour shifts per week
Once licensed, permanent shift will be Wed, Thurs, Fri from 7pm-7am (Three/12-hour shifts). May require rotating weekend call or holiday coverage by cross covering within a team dynamics in the hospital setting
Overview
Works under the supervision of the Department Manager/Coordinator to perform and evaluate overnight polysomnogram testing procedures in accordance to laboratory standards.
Education
Minimum of High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
Enrollment in a credentialed sleep program (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
RPSGT required within 18 months of hire. After obtaining RPSGT credentials, Virginia State licensure is required to be obtained within 60 days
