The Platform EHS Leader is a strategic leader responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety program across the Watts Applied Solutions Platform, a six location, seven hundred employee platform. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, promotes a culture of safety, and drives continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Watts Performance System (WPS) and Lean principles. This individual will partner with operations leadership to create a safe work environment, minimize risk, and support sustainable business growth.
This individual is responsible for leading Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability strategy, programs, and projects across the Watts Applied Solutions organization.
This position is responsible for supervision of EHS Managers and EHS Technicians located at multiple sites.
This position reports to VP, EHS. This role is onsite and is based in Fort Worth, TX or Blauvelt, NY.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading day to day EHS related operations at the Blauvelt, NY, Fort Myers, FL, Fort Worth, TX, Escondido, CA, Lenexa, KS and Centennial, CO locations.
- Plans and executes company-wide training activities related to EHS across the organization.
- Manages and is accountable for implementation and effectiveness of each site health & safety committee, and daily, weekly, and monthly reporting obligations across the platform.
- Works with the Corporate VP of EHS and platform leadership to develop and implement KPI’s for success.
- Serves as a Manager to multiple EHS Technicians and EHS Managers at Watts locations. Drives performance and career development.
- Facilitates EHS related continuous improvements.
- Manages compliance reporting for EHS related programs.
- Acts as safety representative that directly coordinates with the Corporate VP of EHS to drive standardization.
- Drives safe practices in alignment with company expectations, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Ensures compliance with safety programs such as Lockout Tagout, fall protection, fire prevention, emergency procedures, and evacuation procedures.
- Coordinates with outside parties, vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable EHS requirements such as OSHA, EPA, state, and local government bodies.
- Drives root cause analysis of EHS issues and communicates with leadership.
- Supports sustainability planning and execution.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by VP, EHS or Company management.
- Travel Requirements: 30% - Domestic
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- 10+ years’ experience in EHS management in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including urinalysis and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to define a vision and strategy for the EHS function, including Sustainability.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills in a matrix environment.
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Direct experience in an EHS management system.
- Experience with ISO14001 and/or ISO45001 desirable.
- Experience in EHS integration for newly acquired organizations desirable.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Worth/Blauvelt location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

Pay Range:
If applicable, use the Watts standard language: “The expected salary range for this position is $144,000 - $171,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.”
