Job Title

Position Overview

Position Objectives:

• To sew rolls of carpet together for continuous production.

Essential Duties:

• Sew rolls of carpet using sewing machine

• Inspect carpet, as it runs, for defects

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, and stoop Must be able to lift 45 lbs. frequently

• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations

• Must participate in group stretching prior to shift

Tools, Equipment & Material Requirements:

• Sewing Machine

• Trim Knife

Safety & Security Requirements:

• This position has the responsibility and authority to report to management any safety problems, and potential problems, encountered while performing the job

• This position has the responsibility of the quality and safety of his/her own output and their co-worker Employees in this position must use extreme caution when using the sewing machine and/or the trim knife

• Employees in this position must never get in the sew-on cradle for any reason
