What you can expect

As a Senior Planning & Analysis Associate on the Institutional Client Group (ICG) Finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making across PGIM’s investment capabilities. Reporting to the Director of Planning & Analysis, you will help operationalize new processes, drive financial clarity, and partner with senior leaders to align financial outcomes with business strategy. The position also involves close collaboration with our product/marketing and investment capabilities’ finance teams. This role is based in Newark, New Jersey, where the team follows a hybrid schedule, working on-site three days per week.

Please note: As this team is newly established, specific responsibilities may evolve over time. We are seeking candidates who are adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic and fluid environment as we build and refine processes to support strategic initiatives.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What You Will Do

  • Support global budgeting, forecasting, and expense management/controllership for PGIM’s Institutional Client Group (ICG), assisting in the preparation and review of financial models and reports.

  • Support headcount and compensation planning, including incentive plan modeling and scenario analysis under guidance from senior team members.

  • Maintain and update the ICG income statement and other financial documents, ensuring cross-platform consistency and compliance.

  • Assist in preparing financial insights and reports for senior leadership, ensuring data accuracy and actionable recommendations.

  • Prepare and analyze KPI metrics and dashboards for monthly committee updates and executive presentations.

  • Deliver functional and ad hoc reporting/analytics, responding to special requests and supporting cross-platform capability as needed.

  • Contribute to the development and standardization of reporting templates, leveraging tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Anaplan

  • Collaborate with the Product and Marketing teams to gather and synthesize relevant financial data.

  • Coordinate with Investment Capabilities teams to collect pipeline data and business-at-risk information, contributing to flow forecasts and consolidated reporting.

  • Assist in preparing consolidated flow reporting and sharing Investment Capabilities-specific reports with IC Finance leads.

  • Support product and distribution profitability analytics by collecting and analyzing financial data.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency within reporting and analytics workflows.

  • Assist with special projects and analysis, contributing to team deliverables and supporting strategic initiatives across Finance.

  • Assist with M&A activities, providing financial analysis and documentation support as required.

  • Participate in industry surveys, providing data and analysis as needed.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • In pursuit of advanced degree and/or relevant certification (MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus).

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in financial planning & analysis or a related finance role.

  • Experience in asset management or financial services with a strong interest in financial markets and investment products.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial modeling and the ability to manipulate large data sets and create financial models.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Anaplan and Power BI.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and partnering skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a focus on process improvement and automation.

  • High degree of professionalism, excellent work ethic, and solutions-oriented mindset
